like a river

like a river
day after day
the world from your poems
flows into my world
and turns the fences
between us
into blooming apricot and orange trees
a wind from your world
brings rose petals
strait into my hair
and I see you
walking through the aged orchards
and vineyards
then around a lake
and through some very modern streets
collecting impressions
discovering universes
in women’s eyes
trying to forget
the dark sides of life
trying to find
the shortest way
to peace
and to love
and I can’t believe
that I have almost thrown away
the key that you have sent me

but I didn’t throw it away
before opening the gate . .
