Poem:

LAND OF SCARECROWS

 This land is abandoned
No life on the bare ground
Silence everywhere
Not a single breeze
Sky cloudy and grey
Only a few lost birds
Mark the emptiness

This is the land
Of unwanted scarecrows
This is my land
Not needed any more
Scarecrows and I
Fill our damned lives
Dancing by the fire
Washing our faces
In the ice cold water
Searching for reasons

But there is no explanation
For this land to exist
We have no place on earth
Surrounded by resentment
Me and my scarecrows
Drink the poisoned nectar
And see our faces
Reflected in the broken glass

This ground
Will never be fertile
Destiny will take scarecrows away
To the unknown
And I'll stay on this empty land
Alone and deserted
Waiting for salvation
